A week in Italy

Hi Friends!! I can’t believe it’s August!! This year and summer are flying by!! At the beginning of the summer my incredible grandparents took me on a graduation trip to Italy and Germany!! It was seriously beyond words amazing and I’m more thankful than I can express in words! I thought it would be fun to recap my time in each country and share some tips I picked up along the way. Today I’m sharing my Italy recap and the Germany one will be coming soon!! The three main places I visited in Italy were Rome, Florence, and Verona. I’m dying to get back already, Italy you are gorgeous and it’s safe to say I’m in love!!

Embrace – word for 2019

I’ve always had a goal of picking a word for the new year but I’ve never really stuck to it. Normally I’d forget I even picked a word four days into January. But this year is a big year for me and so here I am again picking a word. It’s taken me a little while to decide what I wanted my word to be and after a lot of searching I decided on Embrace with a little bit of courage lol. Embracing is something I’ve never been very good at. I like plans and comfort, and the thought of simply just embracing scares me completely. Though if there’s anything I learned last year it’s that we can’t plan life, it’s simply too complex and ever changing. Our God has a plan for us more beautiful than we could plan for ourselves. Though even knowing all this sometimes I still find it very hard to embrace the path in front of me. Sometimes I’d rather study the map a little longer.

A summer adventure in Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Hi friends! Wow I can’t believe how fast this summer has flown by. My big family trip this summer was to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and wow y’all it was the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. Living in Florida, you definitely don’t get the mountain views which are my most favorite. I’ve been to the North Carolina mountains before but never had I seen beauties quite like this. I mean snow on top of a mountain in July, is this heaven? I’m so thankful for this trip and have so many dreams of going back. I figured the best way to share my trip and be helpful to those wanting to travel to Jackson was to section out places to eat, stay, shop, adventure, etc to the best of my ability.

Animal Kingdom Lodge Recap!

Hey friends!! I hope y’all are having the happiest start to summer! For the first weekend of my summer break, my family and I took a little staycation at Disney’s Animal kingdom lodge! My family and I are big Disney fans so we take the opportunity to get out there whenever we can!! We have annual passes and sometimes I swear we live there. Anyways, we decided to book a special room to celebrate the end of the school year. My dad surprised my sisters and I with a Savannah view room, meaning from the balcony of our hotel room we could see zebras, giraffes, gazelles, pelicans, crazy kinds of birds, and many other African animals. This was such a treat and a once in a lifetime thing for us and we were blown away by the craziness of the situation. I mean where else in Florida or anywhere in the US really can you look out your hotel window and see giraffes! We obviously fell in love with the room and the hotel its self. I’d have to say Animal kingdom lodge, the grand Floridian, and the beach club all tie for 1st place of my absolute favorite Disney resorts.
